Inset View Callouts
You can now choose whether to move and scale the Inset Views independently from the Inset callouts.
What is the benefit of this enhancement?
It is now easier to get the result you are looking for when adjusting the Inset View. You can use the Shift key to either move the callouts with the Inset View or leave the callouts in place.

Preconfigure Columns for Item List
You can now set the Item List columns at the illustration level either from the options dialog or using the Administration tool.
What is the benefit of this enhancement?
It is now possible to set the default columns for a parts list as part of the Standard. This will prevent missing columns in published data.

Use Preset View States to Control What is Visible in a Figure
It is now possible to change the view state for each top level assembly in a figure after you have created the figure.
What is the benefit of this enhancement?
This new feature allows you to switch or re-apply the View State for an assembly in a figure. An example would be to duplicate a figure and apply a different view state that shows an alternate configuration while keeping the exploded state from the original figure.

Background processing for Exporting Movie Files
The process of exporting a sequence or animation as a video is now done in the background instead of in the application.
What is the benefit of this enhancement?
With this enhancement, when exporting video the processing takes place in the background. Freeing up Creo Illustrate for continuing work on other figures.

Vuforia Procedures Added to the Publishing Options
You now have the option to export or publish Vuforia Procedure Files. This is also available through the batch publishing tool.
What is the benefit of this enhancement?
This enhancement brings the Vuforia Procedure File creation to the built-in publishing process. It is now possible to publish multiple sequences to procedure files at once. This also works with the batch processing tool and allows publishing settings to be set in the Standard.

Windows 11 Compatibility
Creo Illustrate 9.0 is supported on Windows 11.

With Creo Illustrate 9.0 we have added support for the Windows 11 OS.

Improved Consistency in Support for Multi-Body Parts
You can now control visibility of multi-body elements of a part in the sBom of a figure.
What is the benefit of this enhancement?
Improved visibility and more control over multiple bodies in the sBOM.

Unlink 2D Figures from 3D
You now have the ability to break the link between a 2D figure and its 3D parent figure.
What is the benefit of this enhancement?
This gives the ability to maintain a 2D figure in its current state even after source data updates or changes in the parent 3D figure.
